Maintenance Manager - Accommodation

MAINTENANCE MANAGER - ACCOMMODATION | Circa £46,300 per annum plus 12% bonus

Reporting to the Accommodation Asset Manager, you will provide structure, planning and direction to the accommodation maintenance team. You will oversee and deliver the reactive maintenance element of all our units of accommodation, and ensure jobs are prioritised and completed in a timely manner. You will develop and deliver a strategy and system of planned preventative maintenance to ensure that our lodges are maintained to the highest standard for our guests.

In addition will have responsibility for ensuring all statutory / legal testing is carried out to the relevant standard and documented. There will also be the requirement to manage the supervision of contractors and annual maintenance contracts, ensuring high standards of work, compliance with Center Parcs standard conditions of work, H&S regulations, and cost effectiveness. You will facilitate and develop a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in either Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing
  • Management experience as well as experience in planning and prioritising tasks for a multi-disciplined workforce and a proven ability to complete works to a high standard, on time and within budget
  • Computer literacy with good experience in Microsoft packages
  • Ability to demonstrate strong people management skills, including the ability to coach and manage performance
  • The ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • The ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
