HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISOR | Up to £49,000 per annum dependent upon experience, plus 12% bonus scheme and company car

This role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based, homeworking and travel to our 6 village locations, including some overnight stays.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office Health and Safety team as Health and Safety Advisor.

Reporting to the Director of Health & Safety and Risk, you will oversee health and safety standards in allocated divisions across the business, including pest control oversight, Grounds Services safety management, and noise assessment. 

You will maintain allocated topics within the Health and Safety policy and provide general health and safety advice across the business. 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Devising and implementing the Health & Safety Strategy for your areas
  • Overseeing and maintaining safety standards throughout the business
  • Ensuring strategy and actual standards are in line with UK/Irish legal standards and best practice and are sufficient for guest/colleague safety and business protection
  • Devising strategy for specific safety topics and maintaining these within the Health and Safety policy along with associated procedures and risk assessments across the whole company

Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required as you will liaise and influence key internal and external stakeholders regarding safety related matters.  This will include Directors, Village Directors, enforcing authorities and insurers.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

Please note this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based, homeworking and travel to our 6 village locations, including some overnight stays.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full Member of CIEH
  • Ability to influence
  • Significant post qualification experience in Food Safety and Health & Safety

Desirable requirements:

  • Full Membership of IOSH
  • Knowledge and experience of construction
  • Commercial experience
  • Experience in facilities management safety
