Media Studio Technicians (Talent Bank)
Location: Covent Garden, London
Salary: £18.19 per hour, inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement
Hours of Work: Variable depending on course programming, including some weekends and evenings.
About the role
Are you a qualified and experienced Media Technician? We are seeking Technicians to support the teaching of courses in a variety of audio and video media subjects, working collaboratively with a lead Tutor. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, technically skilled, and educationally focused, with a passion for the performing arts and a strong ambition to grow within the AV department at City Lit College.
You will be inducted into the studio by our Studio Manager, who will be your main point of contact. You’ll receive ongoing support from the Drama, Dance and Speech team, especially the Studio Manager, and be expected to collaborate with a variety of staff and students.

- A qualification relevant to TV, video and audio recording, production, and operations.
- A knowledge of studio systems including lighting, cameras, switching, audio mixing, signal routing, talkback.
- Knowledge and understanding of video and audio codecs.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to work to establish procedures and workflows.
- An understanding of safeguarding, data protection and health and safety as appropriate to the role.
- The ability to communicate effectively.
