The Opportunity
We have an exciting vacancy to join the Cotton Traders team as a Marketplace Assistant, based at our Head Offices in Altrincham, with potential for hybrid working.
Your role will be to assist the Marketplace Manager in ensuring that the web platforms that Cotton Traders products sell on are set up and operating correctly. This is an expanding area so no two days will be the same.
As a Marketplace Assistant here are some of the key tasks that you will be involved in on a weekly basis:
- Sales reporting as well as trend and data analysis for each Marketplace
- Site walking and visually checking the Cotton Traders products on the Marketplace websites
- Investigating product data inaccuracies, fact finding and problem solving when issues arise.
- Creating product range plans and information sheets as well as selecting product for content.
- Uploading data to internal and external databases.
- Working closely with Cotton Traders Buying, Merchandising and Creative teams.
- Liaising effectively with external Marketplaces teams.

Ideally you will have some website knowledge and an interest in online trading and Marketplaces.
Excel skills at intermediate to advanced level are essential as are excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
Accuracy is key, you will need to pay close attention to detail and be very analytical.
We are looking for someone who is reliable with lots of initiative, able to work well within a team as well as individually and happy to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will be strong at prioritising workload with a flexible attitude to changing priorities, be able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and self-motivation as well as commitment and a willingness to learn. They will be proactive with a can-do attitude and must want to progress and proactively learn new skills.
