This role is a 12-month maternity contract

Role description

This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career working for a recognised brand, in a forward-thinking team, within a dynamic accountancy firm.

The successful candidate will lead the marketing activity of Private Clients, one of Crowe’s key strategic sectors and responsible for line managing one direct report who leads the marketing for Professional Practices, Pension Funds, Private Equity and Tax Resolutions. They will work closely with key stakeholders in these teams as well as the BD and marketing team nationally, to build brand awareness and reputation in the market and enhance Crowe’s recognition among clients and targets.

Candidates will need a strong business to business professional service marketing background, preferably within accountancy, to develop a focused marketing strategy and deliver effective marketing campaigns aligned to the sectors and service lines that fall within their remit.

We are looking for a strategic, solutions-driven individual who is familiar with working in a consultative environment, to ensure a consistently high quality and best practice marketing approach. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced marketing professional with excellent stakeholder management who is confident, comfortable with multi-tasking and can work to tight deadlines.

This full-time role reports to the Director of Brand, Marketing and Communications. It will suit someone with previous line management responsibility and broad marketing experience who has worked across the full marketing mix to build brand equity and facilitate business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Line management of one Senior Marketing Executive.
  • Develop marketing plans aligned with sector and service line business plans to help raise Crowe’s reputation and increase recognition in the sector.
  • Develop, deliver and lead comprehensive end to end marketing campaigns from inception through to completion across the full marketing spectrum.
  • Working with the PR and Digital content team to source and respond to awards submissions with compelling content, in a timely manner.
  • Provide effective measurements for evaluating all sector-related marketing activity and improving performance; report on performance results and insights to the Private Client sector team on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate cross sector business development opportunities though identification of qualified leads from marketing activity and insight gained from campaigns.
  • Deliver competitor analysis across the sector with a clear interpretation of opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Work with partners and the business development team to ensure brand and positioning accuracy in proposals and presentations.
  • Advise on and help to deliver brand awareness through distinctive thought leadership content creation and flagship events.
  • Support relevant marketing training that is delivered across the firm and assume the role of a brand champion to ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications.
  • Project manage the delivery of national projects/campaigns and events in collaboration with all relevant internal specialist functions such as the web, communications and design teams in an efficient, timely and effective manner.
  • Evaluate new sponsorship/partnership opportunities to ensure alignment with the Crowe brand, competitive advantage and return on investment.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of sectors and service lines to advise and influence marketing strategies and approaches.
  • Confident, proactive, responsive and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’.
  • Highly organised for efficient time management and ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent copywriting, proofing and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and convert technical content into accurate and compelling copy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise their team’s workload as well as their own.
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM systems and email platforms.
  • Knowledge and application of all Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Previous professional services experience.
  • Degree level education in marketing (desired).
  • CIM qualified (desired).
