Projects Assistant
Purpose of the role:
To support the delivery of people-related projects by providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support to senior team members. This role will be based in one of Crowe’s Cheltenham office, as part of the wider National People team, and will assist in ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and in line with Crowe’s strategic goals.
This role requires someone who is able to be solution focused and work collaboratively, managing their workload and multiple deadlines. The role requires excellent attention to detail, accuracy and outstanding client service including professional communication, both orally and written.
They will work closely with senior team members, and other stakeholders to support collaboration and consistency across initiatives.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support senior team members in the coordination of people-related projects.
- Act as a point of contact for project stakeholders, responding to queries and providing updates where appropriate.
- Assist in the maintenance of project documentation, including plans, timelines, and status reports.
- Coordinate meeting bookings, prepare agendas, and document actions and decisions.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of project-related data, including the input and maintenance of project tracking logs as required.
- Support project progress and stakeholder updates, following up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Help gather feedback from stakeholders to inform project improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within project administration and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Support communication efforts and liaise with internal teams (e.g., Internal Comms, HR Operations) to communicate project updates and outcomes.
- Contribute to change management activities, including the preparation of training materials and user guides for new processes or systems.
- Assist in identifying risks and issues and escalate them appropriately.
- Support the development of consistent project management practices within the team.
- Assist with the implementation of new project management tools or systems, including user training and troubleshooting.
- Build effective working relationships across the National People Team, other operational teams, and wider firm.
Technical skills, experience, knowledge & qualifications:
Essential
- Excellent administrative skills and experience
- Professional and personally credible
- Fully IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Organisational and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Driven and focused approach on delivering the best possible results showing determination, resourcefulness with a sense of purpose
- Ethical approach to managing data. Understanding that you will be handling sensitive information about the firm and its people, therefore exercising discretion and confidentiality at all times
Preferable
- Strong, demonstrable administration/PA experience
- Familiarity with HR and/or project management tools or software is desirable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
- Confident in handling and manipulating numerical data and calculations
- An inquisitive, open-minded approach to seek out new ways to support the development and efficiency of the Projects team
