Assistant Manager – Forensic Accounting (Disputes & Expert Witness)

Our Forensics team in Birmingham is growing. We are looking for a Newly Qualified to Assistant Manager looking for a change of pace to join a well-established national team with ambitious growth plans.  This role will be predominantly disputes focused and the individual should have a desire to assist in supporting the team’s marketing and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Being involved in the day to day activities of expert witness and advisory assignments. 
  • Performing detailed analysis including financial models and using industry tools to perform supporting analysis. 
  • Assisting in the drafting of client deliverables to the highest standards. 
  • To take an interest and be involved in the team’s longer-term strategy, implement and support effective marketing and business development activities to help with the growth of the individual and wider team
  • Assist in delivering on the team’s business plan.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with ideally one plus years experience in forensic accountancy, specifically disputes.
  • Has knowledge of the sector – proactively strengthening knowledge in new trends and risks.
  • Is keen to take an active role in business development.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional service.
  • Track record of innovation and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant with experience of working in a forensic accounting role.
  • Assisted in the delivery of financial expert witness and advisory projects, involving high volumes of material.
  • Experience of analysing financial data and drafting of parts of deliverables in a coherent and concise format.
  • Knowledge of the quantification of loss in large commercial claims and of non-contentious or contentious business valuations.
  • A drive to be involved in business development activities and enhancing client relationships.
