An opportunity has arisen for an NPTC Assessor and Tutor to join our excellent land-based team based at our Broomfield Hall site with access to over 200 acres of beautiful grounds.  Derby College Farm and Plant unit is a very busy and forward-thinking centre, and the teams are ambitious and proud of their achievements and work environment. The Opportunity

Join our dedicated, hands-on team committed to excellence in the delivery of land based qualifications. As an NPTC assessor and tutor, your primary focus will be student-facing, ensuring all NPTC courses are delivered professionally with outstanding results. The delivery is mainly short courses and is primarily machinery and pesticide based so experience of these areas would be beneficial.

You will contribute to the innovation and improvement of teaching and learning across the organisation, achieving performance and quality targets. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet the needs of our dynamic environment.

About You

You have a passion for education and the land-based sector. You excel in delivering innovative and outstanding learning experiences, and have a solid understanding of health and safety, inclusivity, and safeguarding. Your excellent communication and organisational skills enable you to work effectively as part of a team. You possess recent industry experience in horticulture, arboriculture, horticulture and Countryside, and knowledge of NPTC qualifications and are committed to continuous professional development. Basic IT skills, relevant vocational qualifications, and a full driving licence are essential.
