An exciting opportunity has arisen to for a Personal Tutor to join our Academic Studies team at the Joseph Wright Centre to deliver valuable tutorial sessions to our A-level students and support their progression within and beyond the College. The Opportunity
As a Personal Tutor, you will play a leading role in ensuring your caseload of students receive the appropriate support to succeed in their courses. The role includes delivering a contextualised tutorial programme and conducting one-to-one sessions with students. You will cover topics such as Prevent, positive relationships, progression sessions, and study skills. Additionally, you will promote opportunities for students to engage in wider tutorial events, seminars, guest speakers, and industry events.

About you
You are an energetic individual with a desire to work with a range of students from levels 1 to 3. You have substantial knowledge of tutoring and student tracking methods needed to ensure stimulating learning experiences. You’ll also have experience working in a post-16 educational environment and delivering pastoral advice and guidance services to young people. You are committed to delivering an outstanding learning experience and can motivate students to maximise their potential. You hold, at least, a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or are willing to work towards it).
