Senior Repairs Surveyor (South)
Based: London area, Hybrid working
Areas Covered: North London, Milton Keynes and Essex, Norfolk and Kent & South London
Hours: Full time – 35 Hours per week (Permanent)
Salary: £49,665 pa
Reporting to: Property Delivery Manager
Direct Reports: Repairs Surveyors x3
Key Information: Successful candidate must have a clean driving license and be prepared to travel and a clear Standard DBS.

About the Role
The Senior Repairs Surveyor role will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance in the London region. You will have three Repairs Surveyors reporting to you, each covering different areas North London & Central London, North London and Essex, Norfolk as well as Kent and South London. Your role will be to ensure that we are providing a good service in all aspects of responsive, cyclical, and major repairs to tenanted and void properties. You will also be managing maintenance contractors in line with our contract management framework including any performance improvement areas. We don’t always get it right, so you will investigate service failures so we can learn from these experiences. Within the role you will also be responsible for ensuring that we comply with accessibility standards, monitor budgets, whilst never compromising on Health and Safety regulations.
About You
This role requires a confident and experienced professional to help ensure the smooth delivery of our repairs and maintenance service. You will need to be up to date with current building and Health and Safety legislations, as well as a sound understanding in procurement routes in Housing.
The ideal candidate will possess a HNC in construction or building, be able to draft tender documents and be able to prepare basic construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent customer care both internal and external and great communication skills are essential for this role. You will need to be calm in your nature but confident in your practices. There will be travel involved for this role, so a clean driving license is essential as well as a clear Standard DBS.
