About the Role

We are seeking a Sports Development Assistant to support the Sports Development Manager in the day to day administration & delivery of Hartpury’s Recreational Sports offer: Hartpury Active.

Hartpury Active – our participation and sports wellbeing offer - driven by our student demand at the time and the sports that we deliver & offer can vary, there is currently a strong focus on developing the growing demand that we have in the following sports: Basketball, Cricket, Hockey & Volleyball. The Hartpury Active project also has a focus on encouraging healthy, positive habits & experiences within sport and we therefore deliver some more relaxing activities such as yoga & casual sport drop in sessions. We are therefore keen to hear from anyone who has experience of playing, coaching or delivering the aforementioned sports/ activities.

This post will start in August when the Hartpury Active Team starts to prepare for the new intake of College & University students in September. This role may require working some evenings as Hartpury Active has some activities that take place after the traditional working day.

 

About You

  • You will be an enthusiastic, creative and resilient person committed to delivering positive change within sport and physical activity.
  • You will have experience of delivering sports sessions to a range of abilities and motivations for sport and physical activity.
  • Ideally you will be a recent graduate from a sports related degree with a passion for enhancing the student experience and be able to highlight what could be missing from the recreational sports experience at Hartpury.
  • You will have an adaptable approach to working and will be happy to work both independently & collaboratively with other departments.
  • You will be used to organising your time effectively and using your own initiative.
