About Us
Gloucester Hartpury Women’s RFC is a highly successful partnership between Gloucester Rugby and Hartpury University and College. The team compete in the PWR league, the highest level of competition in England.
Our mission is to ‘inspire our community through action on and off the pitch’, fostering a culture of excellence that extends beyond competition. You will lead the Athletic Performance/S & C team, delivering high-performance training programmes that enhance individual and team performance while overseeing the development pathways within our women’s academy teams.
About the Role
- You will develop good working relationships and communication strategies with the coaching staff to help achieve the objectives and goals set by the Head Coach and to create effective programming, scheduling and load management of all players and teams.
- You will provide evidence-based S&C provision to Gloucester Hartpury RFC team to physically develop and maximize the performance of the players and team.
- You will develop KPI’s and long-term training plans for Gloucester Hartpury and women's rugby academies to ensure continual athletic development and performance throughout the various levels within rugby for sustained success.
- You will work in collaboration with the medical, performance analysis and other support service departments to improve the overall performance of the players and the team.
- To provide support and mentor placement students within the S&C/athletic performance department, drawing on your areas of expertise.
About You
- You will hold a postgraduate degree in strength and conditioning or a related field.
- You will hold UKSCA or NSCA accreditation (or equivalent) or be currently working towards these.
- You will have a proven experience of working with elite sports teams and/or athletes and managing members of staff to deliver excellence.
- You can demonstrate excellent communication, team working skills and are highly motivated.
