About the Role
The Residential Life and Residential Services Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Residential Life and Residential Services teams. This will involve project work to support the Head of Residential Life and Residential Services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support across a range of activities that contribute to a positive and inclusive student experience
- Working closely with colleagues from different areas of Student Services, building relationships and supporting shared objectives
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of student events, activities and engagement initiatives throughout the academic year
- Support a variety of projects and service improvement initiatives, helping to ensure services remain effective, compliant and responsive to student needs
- Create communications and resources to contribute to keeping students informed with residential life opportunities
- Maintain accurate records, coordinate information and support the smooth running of departmental processes
- Work in a varied role where no two days are the same, balancing routine administration with project and event support
- Play a key part in helping to create a safe, welcoming and supportive residential environment for students
- Occasional evening and weekend working may be required to support key events and operational activities
About You
- Experience of working in an administrative role or business support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience of coordinating meetings, events, activities or projects
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience of delivering high quality customer service and building good working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
