About the Role

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead our procurement activities and manage contractual agreements. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services that support our educational and operational objectives. The successful candidate will for example lead procurement and contracting activity across the institution covering IT, Digital, Maintenance & Facilities and Research & Knowledge Exchange and other related activity. The role will focus on high value and complex work and involve providing a professional, flexible and efficient service including leading the management of procurement processes and contract negotiations, end to end.

              

About You

You will have knowledge and experience of procurement and contracts management in an organizational setting supported by knowledge and experience of supplier relationship management and financial management and strategy. You will have knowledge of or be capable of quickly learning about the sector-specific procurement environment covering key legislation, best practice, ethical standards and integrity.

You will possess excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive change and work independently whilst ensuring alignment to organizational policies. You will be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

You will be confident working closely with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders to develop and maintain appropriate strategies, documentation, policies and procedures. You will be professional, flexible and proactive in your approach to work.

You will have a commitment to continuing personal and professional development, through active involvement in relevant training, project work, research and other development opportunities.  You will be confident representing and promoting the business development team at internal and external meetings, events and conferences.
