Data Analyst

At Helping Hands, data is at the heart of how we run our business and support our teams to deliver exceptional care at home. As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive better decisions across the organisation.

Working in our Data & Insight team, you’ll be the bridge between stakeholders and our data platform – building dashboards, answering questions, and telling the story behind the numbers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people as much as data, and who wants to see their work make a real difference.

For this role you will be required to work at least one day per week at our Support Office in Alcester, Warwickshire.

What you’ll be doing

  • Querying our data to answer business questions and uncover trends and patterns.

  • Building dashboards in Power BI that bring data to life for stakeholders.

  • Turning analysis into clear, engaging stories that help others act on the insights.

  • Responding to data queries and ensuring reporting is timely and accurate.

  • Supporting process improvements by automating manual tasks and documenting best practice.

  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business to scope and define data requirements.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Power BI).

  • An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards that stakeholders actually use.

  • Ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences – data storytelling is a must.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple requests.

  • Experience in stakeholder management and translating business questions into data requirements.

Desirable extras

  • Confidence presenting to senior leaders and investors.

  • Advanced SQL or some Python/R experience.

  • Knowledge of GDPR, data governance, or data quality processes.

  • Previous experience in healthcare, social care, or retail.
