Our Vacation Scheme

We are offering the opportunity to take part in our Vacation Scheme, giving you the chance to work alongside our lawyers and central teams.

We hope you will gain:

• A better understanding of our practices areas and work types;
• The chance to experience our unique culture;
• An insight into life at Higgs including our people, our clients and our way of working.

What we are looking for

People that have a genuine interest in working in the legal profession, have tenacity, drive and enthusiasm, an ability to build and maintain relationships and a real desire to learn. We intend to make training contract offers to Vacation Scheme applicants that we consider have the attributes and qualities that we need.  

Eligibility

Our Vacation Scheme is open to:

• Law students in their second year of university onwards
• Non-law students in their final year of university
• Graduates from any degree discipline, including those who have completed, are undertaking or are considering a law conversion course

Key dates

If you are interested please make an application by Sunday 31 January 2026 by 23:59.

The Vacation Scheme will take place week commencing Monday 15 March 2027 until Friday 19 March 2027. 

You will need to be available to work on site for the full duration of the scheme.
