Role Purpose
We are seeking an innovative IT Trainer to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate, working alongside our existing IT trainer, will be responsible for delivering comprehensive IT training programs to new employees, conducting regular refresher training sessions, producing high-quality training and knowledge-sharing materials, and devising effective testing methods to ensure the proficiency and continuous development of our staff in using the firm's IT systems and software. The IT Trainer will also assist with providing an online library of training materials to enhance the training experience.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Training:
- Conduct thorough IT induction training for all new hires, ensuring they are proficient in using the firm’s IT systems, software, and tools. This on-boarding should be tailored to suit their position and department within the firm.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date onboarding training program tailored to different roles within the firm.
Refresher Training:
- Identify training needs then schedule and deliver regular refresher training sessions to keep employees updated on new software, system updates, and best practices. Create and update training materials to assist with this.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Explore and implement innovative approaches to training.
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective.
- Work closely with the IT support team to identify common issues and incorporate solutions into training programs.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure training programs are aligned with business needs and objectives.

Acts as a brand advocate by building strong relationships, representing the firm professionally and contributing to business development initiatives that enhance the firm’s reputation and growth. - Supports the smooth running and performance of the team by planning and allocating work effectively, responding positively to change, and assisting with performance improvement. Builds strong working relationships and encourages a consistent, collaborative approach across the team. (A/I)
- Takes responsibility for delivering high standards of work. Remains positive and professional during periods of change or challenge, contributes constructively to team initiatives, and seeks ongoing development to enhance performance. (A/I)
Technical Know How
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications
- Proven experience as an IT Trainer within a legal services environment.
- Excellent knowledge of various IT systems, software, and tools used within a law firm.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
- Certification in IT training or related field is desirable.
- Experience in creating engaging and effective training materials
