Role Purpose
As a residential conveyancer you will be working in a demanding environment where your quick thinking, attention to detail and accuracy are vital attributes.
You will work as part of the residential team on residential conveyancing matters acting for buyers, sellers, buy to let investors, mortgage lenders and executors on estate administration property matters. In addition you may act for developers on plot sales and plot purchasers in relation to new build instructions.
A strong understanding of residential property legal matters is vital. You will be handling property transactions from start to finish, dealing with client requests and the demands of your team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a full and varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchase
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- New build purchases
- Help to Buy and Shared Ownership schemes
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
- Draft and review legal documentation such as contracts, leases, and title documents
- Carry out title checks and property searches
- Advise clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process, ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Maintain accurate case management records using firm software
- Keep up to date with relevant legal developments, compliance, and industry best practices

Technical Knowledge
- Proven experience in residential conveyancing
- Strong technical knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and independently
- Proficiency in case management system and MS Office suite
