Role Purpose

To support the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients who have sustained serious or life-changing injuries. You will assist in progressing personal injury claims efficiently and compassionately, working under supervision on a varied caseload while developing legal expertise and client care skills. This role contributes to securing positive outcomes for clients and upholding the firm’s reputation for excellence and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with life‑changing injuries as part of a collaborative serious injury legal team
  • Assist lead lawyers with RTA, EL, and PL serious injury caseloads from intake to resolution
  • Liaise directly with clients, manage onboarding, investigate claims, and gather evidence
  • Assess liability and quantum, calculate damages, and advise clients on legal issues and expectations
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and Schedules of Loss
  • Prepare, issue, and manage court proceedings, negotiating settlements where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate files, correspondence, and diary management in line with regulatory standards
  • Stay up to date with legal developments, complete CPD, and support departmental and business goals

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications to organise tasks, manage time effectively and support collaborative working.
  • Uses resources and new technologies effectively.
  • A good understanding of the core legal process in all types of personal injury claims.
  • A good understanding of the Rehabilitation Code and the application to major trauma cases.
  • Knowledge and experience of the law affecting road traffic accidents claims, work accidents and accidents in a public place.
