About the opportunity:

Building on our continued success and growth, we are currently hiring an Asset Management professional with a broad range of experience that includes High-Speed Rail and more broadly rail infrastructure or track to join our team as an Associate Director – Asset Management & Maintenance based in Sydney.

The successful candidate will play a lead role in the development and delivery of Asset Management & Maintenance projects, providing expert advice across multi-disciplinary projects. As a subject matter expert, you will support the State Managers in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria and the Director Asset Management & Maintenance with key client accounts, selling the Asset Management & Maintenance service line offerings.

The key focus areas for the Asset Management & Maintenance service line includes the following:

  • Development of Asset Management & Maintenance strategies.
  • Route asset management planning and development.
  • Asset management & maintenance reviews and assessments.
  • Enterprise asset management & maintenance development.
  • Standards review and development.
  • Application of intelligent asset management systems, technology and solutions.
  • Infrastructure reliability assessments and advice.
  • Asset audits, due diligence assessments and assurance reviews

You will be involved in leading asset management & maintenance teams, providing people leadership and service line capability to deliver asset solutions that meet the needs of our client organisations. You will have the opportunity to act as a project manager on consultancy contracts and manage, or contribute to the completion of consultancy contracts, delivering projects on time and to budget.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Qualified to at least a degree level or equivalent in subject area.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry.
  • Proven track record delivering asset management & maintenance initiatives/solutions in a rail environment, including High-Speed Rail.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in the area of rail infrastructure or systems.
  • Proven ability to translate client needs into working solutions.
  • Developed report writing ability.
  • Well-developed skills in problem solving and written/verbal communication, collaborative working and time/priority management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to sustain relationships with customers, identify and develop opportunities and manage these through to new work.
  • Experience using Enterprise Asset Management Systems (such as Ellipse, Maximo, SAP) preferably within the rail sector.

Desirable:

  • Membership of relevant professional body.
  • Formal Asset Management Qualification.
  • Understanding of Australian market and client relationships in Transport/Rail sector.
