Hedley’s College is a high-quality specialist further education and training provider. We provide education and training for young people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities who require specialist individual programmes to develop their communication, independence, and employability skills. We help our learner make successful transitions into adulthood within the Northeast region.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly specialist Occupational Therapist within the Therapy team working in Hedleys College. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Occupational therapist to join our team. You would become part of an existing, dedicated team of therapists who strive to deliver best practice at all times. With opportunities to shape a service to meet the ever changing needs of those we support. The post holder will be passionate about the benefits of teamwork and be dedicated to developing and supporting this within the college.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working with individuals with Autism and sensory regulation needs who need support to learn skills linked to giving greater independence in their daily lives. We seek an individual who is able to think creatively to solve problems, preferably with experience in sensory profiling and sensory assessments.

Salary amounts quoted are from 1 September to 31 August and therefore, if you commence employment part way through the academic year, it will be subject to an equated salary adjustment.
This role involves working 47.2 weeks per year
