The Role:

As an Adoptions Engineer you’ll support the Engineering team and manage the successful adoption of roads, sewers, and open spaces. You’ll act as a key liaison with local authorities, management companies, and consultants, ensuring a smooth and timely adoption process.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Adoptions Engineer or a professional seeking to step into this specialised area within civil engineering.

What you’ll do as an Adoptions Engineer:

  • Coordinate technical approvals and agreements (S38, S104, S106, S278)
    • Manage communication with local highways/drainage authorities
    • Oversee transfer of public spaces and ensure compliance with policy
    • Assist with value engineering and technical document review
    • Track adoption timelines and bond liabilities

What We’re Looking For:

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
    • Knowledge of road and sewer adoption legislation and practices
    • Strong technical and AutoCAD skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • A team player who can also work independently
