What is the role?
The purpose of this role is to undertake the Setting out of House Foundations, Drives and Boundaries whilst liaising with Site Management & Commercial Teams, Ensuring Health & Safety Standards are upheld.
What you’ll do as a Setting Out Engineer
- Setting out of foundations, drives, boundaries and ancillary areas
- Minor site surveying, volumetric calculations
- Liaison with Site Management & Commercial Teams
- Ensuring Health & Safety Standards are upheld
- Supervise, Check and monitor the progress and quality of sub-contractors work
- Keeping a detailed Daily Site Diary
- Recording As Built information and keeping it well documented.
What experience do I need?
- Minimum HNC qualified
- Proficient in the use of CAD is desirable
- Experience or qualifications in surveying/engineering
- Previous experience using Total Stations / Setting out equipment
- Use of GPS equipment is essential
- Ability to manage and program their own workload
- Use their own initiative to ensure works are completed in accordance with the site programme
- Previous experience as a site engineer/trainee in the construction environment
- Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is preferred
- Full UK driving licence
