What is the role?
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to work with both our Technical and Construction teams. As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of residential development specifically the establishment of new sites. Working closely between the technical and site teams, you will oversee engineering functions on-site, ensuring that works are compliant with design specifications and regulatory standards. What you’ll do as a Site Engineer
- Oversee day-to-day engineering and technical operations on the construction sites.
- Be able to set out roads, sewers & housing, carry out as built surveys
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, and specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, liaising with the technical team, surveyors, and subcontractors as required.
- Maintain accurate records, and report progress to the Technical & Construction directors
- Provide engineering support to the site teams and advise on technical specifications and standards.
- Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy
- Build positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to promote collaboration and efficiency
What experience do I need?
- Ideally qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a civil engineering with some residential project experience
- By way of technical experience you will be conversant with current regulations and CDM you will also have knowledge of current Scottish Water & Local Authority regulations
- You must be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is willing to undertake all necessary training
- Current CSCS card
