What is the role?

As a Construction Secretary, you will provide essential administrative support to our busy developments and office-based teams. You will ensure efficient handling of documentation, communication with stakeholders, and smooth coordination of site operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to construction managers and site teams
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes
  • Maintain and update project documentation and drawing registers
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel where required
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of Health & Safety files and training records
  • Process purchase orders and assist with invoice tracking and site expenditure
  • Assist with document control and ensure all files are accurately stored and easy to retrieve

What experience do I need?

  • Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably within construction or a related industry
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with document control systems is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of construction terms and project processes is desirable
