As a Development Engineer, your work will directly impact the success of multi-million-pound residential developments. You’ll oversee external consultants and manage key technical aspects, ensuring cost-effective solutions that drive successful project delivery. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Development Engineer or a professional seeking to step into this specialised area within civil engineering.

What you’ll do as a Development Engineer:

  • Produce layouts, reports, and working drawings for land appraisals
  • Manage site investigations and surveys
  • Brief consultants on design scope (roads, sewers, drainage, etc.)
  • Liaise with statutory bodies and utility companies
  • Coordinate utility infrastructure and diversions
  • Provide engineering support to other departments
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies

What we’re looking for:

  • HNC or equivalent in civil engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of building regulations, CDM, and relevant standards
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and excellent communication
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and a desire for continuous development
