Support Worker

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity available at Potens for a Support Worker.

Kensington Hall, located in South Hetton, is a registered residential care home for up to 13 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The home also has vast experience in supporting people with epilepsy and physical disabilities.

  • Shifts are 8 am to 8 pm – you may also be required to cover sleep ins and waking nights on occasion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing personal care.
  • Assisting the people, we support in engaging in activities within the local community.
  • The support we give is focused on boosting morale, increasing levels of existing skills, and supporting the learning of new skills.
  • You will motivate the people we support to rebuild their confidence and assist them to see a bright future for themselves.

Who you are:

  • Flexible with a “can do” attitude.
  • Positive and highly motivated with the ability to encourage others.
  • Somebody who is passionate about providing support and would like to make a real positive difference to the lives of the people who live with us.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Drivers preferred.
