Learning & Development Officer

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Officer to join our Workforce Development Team!

As Learning & Development Officer, you will lead the ongoing review and development of the organisation's training programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and compliance reporting. You will ensure our staff teams have access to the best possible learning and development opportunities, so that they can provide the best care, support, and education to the people we support.

Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and optimisation of the Access Learning Management System.
  • Schedule and manage face-to-face, virtual, and blended training events. Maintaining training calendars and coordinating with internal trainers and external providers.
  • Ensure courses are viable to run with the appropriate number of attendees booked.
  • Preparing and providing insight based on MI training reports and sharing in a meaningful way with the Operation and Senior Leadership Team
  • Working closely with Managers to ensure understanding, compliance and associated training administration is up to date and accurate.
  • Promote Potens internal Management training programmes.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers to resolve problems. Suggest improvements and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Promote the take-up of Apprentices and provide advice and support where required.
  • Developing, maintaining, and promoting Potens learning and development policies & procedures
  • Building positive relationships with external training providers, and attending SLA review meetings as required
  • Ensuring Potens induction programmes and probation procedures for all new starters are developed and in line with the company's needs
  • Sourcing subject matter where needed

Who you are:

  • An L&D professional, Health & Social care experience advantageous
  • Experience managing an LMS, ideally Access LMS Evo or similar
  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external
  • Quick learner, hands on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
  • Driver, occasional travel required.
