We are hiring a Data Architect to join a newly developed team. As our Data Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions in support of the organisation's data strategy.

This role will see the Data Architect collaborating with  various stakeholders to ensure data architecture aligns with business goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data management.

 Key Priorities:

  • Data Modelling: Design and implement data models and database structures that support the business requirements. 
  • Data Integration: Develop strategies for data integration, ensuring seamless data flow across different systems. 
  • Data Governance: Enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security. 
  • Cloud Services: Architect and manage data solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance and scalability. 
  • Compliance: Ensure data architecture aligns with regulatory requirements specific to the financial services sector (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS). 
  • Collaboration and Support: Provide support and troubleshooting for data platform-related issues. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure data platforms are secure. 

 Skills we are looking for:

  • Proficiency in data modelling tools, SQL, NoSQL databases, ETL processes, and cloud data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure SQL Database). 
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical specifications. 
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. 
  • Extensive experience in data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data services, often with a background in the financial services industry
