People Services Associate (6m FTC)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our People Services function as a People Services Associate. This is a pivotal role within both the People team and the wider business, where you’ll play a critical part in delivering an outstanding colleague experience.

You will ensure the seamless coordination and delivery of the employee life cycle, applying an operational excellence lens to everything you do. From onboarding to career milestones and beyond, you’ll combine exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast‑paced environment. This role goes far beyond administration, it’s about combining exceptional attention to detail with an operational excellence mindset to create efficient processes, solve problems, and deliver a service colleagues can truly rely on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end coordination of employee life cycle activities, including new starters, contract changes, and leavers.
  • Conduct and track pre‑employment and ongoing checks (e.g. DBS, credit, right to work, references) to ensure full compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and secure colleague records in line with regulatory and data protection standards.
  • Partner with managers to obtain correct and timely information, ensuring smooth HR processes.
  • Ensure payroll receives precise and timely documentation to guarantee accurate colleague pay.
  • Collaborate closely with IT to ensure changes are actioned promptly, within SLA’s.
  • Respond to colleague queries with professionalism, providing clear and timely guidance or escalation where needed.
  • Administer colleague services such as employment references and long service awards.
  • Carry out Parental Leave discussions with colleagues preparing for the arrival of a child (through birth, adoption, or other routes), offering guidance on policy and support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing processes, recommending efficiencies, and updating procedure manuals to reflect changes.
