Be Here, Be You, Create Change

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Founders House - a unique part of Central Area Services at Scottish Autism. Founders focuses on supporting autistic adults with a wide range of needs, including mobility and health needs. As a team member, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals navigate these challenges while maintaining their independence and quality of life.

We offer comprehensive autism-specific training, helping you develop into the role while being part of a close-knit team and community service.

About You:

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of autistic adults. While experience in social care is desirable, it’s not essential—we’re more interested in people who share our values of collaboration, compassion, contribution and change-making.

You’ll be:

  • Passionate about providing person-centred support whilst being flexible and responsive to the changing needs of each person you support,
  • A great communicator, able to build strong relationships with supported individuals, families, and health professionals,
  • A team player who is proactive, reliable, and willing to learn and grow in the role
  • Comfortable working shifts, including evenings and weekends

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement personalised support plans for each individual,
  • Foster positive relationships with individuals, their families and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure each person’s life goals and aspirations are central to their care

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Assisting individuals with mobility, personal care and decision-making
  • Promoting independence and supporting community inclusion
  • Helping maintain each person’s home and communal spaces, and participating in meaningful, enjoyable activities

Join us on this rewarding journey as part of a service that’s making a real difference to people’s lives in Alloa!

What we offer:

We have a comprehensive benefits package which boasts generous Health & Wellbeing, Learning & Personal Development and Financial benefits – so there’s something for everyone!

Some examples include:

  • 32 days holiday pro rata (increasing with length of service)
  • Fully funded SVQ training
  • Non-contributory life assurance
  • Pension (employer matched up to 9%)
  • Employee discount platform and assistance program
