Project Worker - Middlesbrough
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,687.00 per year (£12.66 per hour)
We are excited to be recruiting for the role of a part time Project Worker at our services based in Middlesbrough.
The service specialises in providing accommodation and support to people who have been victims of Modern day Slavery & Trafficking, and help them re-integrate into the community. The role of a Project Worker is to provide support and direction to people who use our service so that they feel empowered to make positive choices such as finding employment, access education, have legal representation etc.
You will be involved in a variety of tasks to support individuals including liaising with/accompanying individuals to meetings with external agencies like healthcare, solicitors, immigration, probation teams, mental health, recovery teams and more and play a key role in their overall integration in the community.
Your support will encompass a variety of tasks including some quality compliances and governances.
We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role, to apply you must have Right to Work in the United Kingdom. If you are in the UK on a VISA please ensure you have no restrictions that would prevent you from taking this post.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experiencing of working with people with different needs
- Good communication skills, be approachable and people-friendly
- Strong grip on record-writing and record-keeping
- Ability to support individuals to be safe and enable them to be independent
- Ability to multi-task and liaise with multi-agency network to support clients.
- QCF Level 2 and above is an advantage
- Preferably able to speak a second language - Particularly Any European OR Asian OR Arabic
