Service Development Assistant

Thistle aims to support individuals, families and communities to maximise their potential and achieve the best possible quality of life.

We are looking for Service Development Assistants to work with a lady who lives in her own home.   She loves music and theatre shows.  She has performed on stage in the Kings Theatre live over zoom, singing songs with her Choir.   She enjoys trampolining, going to the zoo and museum.  We are looking for resilient team members who understand that people can communicate through their behaviours when stressed or distressed, but with the right support these instances can be reduced to enable people to lead full, active and socially connected lives.

We require you to have experience of supporting people who communicate through their behaviours, and people that require a resilient approach. You will be familiar with using and contributing to Positive Behaviour Support Plans and working as part of a team to maximise understanding of different forms of communication and approaches to minimise stress. Sleepovers are part of this role.

To arrange an informal discussion about this post, in the first instance please contact Carrie Newland, Service Development Lead, at caroline.newland@thistle.org.uk
