Overview:

EveryDay, a social enterprise wholly owned by Age UK North Tyneside is looking to recruit a Personal Support Assistant to work in Crossgates.

We are also taking on 0hour contracts to work across both Crossgates and Homeside. Shifts can vary to suit with potential move onto contracted hours. 

The shift patterns we have available are:

  • Sunday - Tuesday: 7am - 4pm
  • Thursday -Saturday: 4pm - 10pm

As part of your role as a Personal Support Assistant, you will be required to provide personal care to individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. This includes customers of all genders, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and disabilities. Tasks may include intimate care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and other forms of personal and emergency care.

As a Personal Support Assistant your goal is to promote and enable our clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Personal Support Assistant roles can also vary from companionship, shopping, meal preparation and housework to aiding with medication, bathing and more personal care duties.

To ensure a smooth transition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the current Team Leader and receive a comprehensive handover before their maternity leave commences in November. This will provide valuable insight into the service, team and residents, helping you feel confident and supported from day one.

Allerdale is a 32-bedroom Extra Care scheme located in Chapel Park, a quiet residential area of Newcastle. Staffed 24 hours a day to provide comfort, reassurance and safety for residents, Allerdale is a welcoming and vibrant community where strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated team has built fantastic connections with residents, and with regular activities and social events taking place, there's always something happening in the lounge.
