Live In Carer - Kemp Town/Whitehawk
🌟 About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, calm, and dependable Live‑In Carer to support a female client living in her own home in the Kemp Town/Whitehawk area of Brighton.
The client is living with Dementia and is bed‑bound, although moving and handling equipment is available to support her safely out of bed with the help of a second carer. She is sociable, enjoys conversation and sharing memories, but also values her personal space. At nearly 108 years old, her comfort, dignity and emotional wellbeing are our highest priority.
She can sometimes feel anxious or confused — particularly around remembering when carers have last visited. The introduction of a live‑in care package aims to provide reassurance, companionship, and a sense of continuity to support her emotional stability and confidence.
💙 Your Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and emotional reassurance
- Preparing meals, drinks, and supporting nutrition needs
- Administering medication as required
- Supporting with light domestic tasks
- Ensuring food shopping is managed and essentials are available
- Giving the client space when needed, while offering companionship when welcomed
- Working alongside a second carer who visits 4 times daily for 30 minutes to assist with personal care and moving & handling tasks
💷 What We Offer
- From £107 per day
- 40p per mile mileage allowance (drivers)
- Free bus pass for non‑drivers
- £25 daily food allowance
- Paid holiday entitlement
- 2‑hour break per day
- Full training, shadowing, and ongoing professional development
