Job Type: 40 Hours per week; Variable seasonal contract

Remuneration: £11.44 per hour

What we need, in a nutshell

Our guests and members at Piperdam love a round of golf and we need an assistant greenkeeper to ensure the course is always in tip top condition and to create a warm and friendly welcome to all who visit us.  If you have previous experience with ride on grass cutting machinery and a passion for greenkeeping we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be ensuring our course is one of the best around, following greenkeeping practices and principles so that it is well maintained and in first-class condition. This includes:

• Carry out daily work to ensure the course in excellent condition and properly maintained, including looking after fairways and greens, bunkers and bushes and trees
• Ensuring the course complies with health and safety and regularly checking the lakes and life preserving equipment
• Maintaining and planting flower beds and garden areas and ensuring all front of house areas are litter-free and create a great first impression
• Keeping your equipment and vehicles checked, cleaned, and well maintained to ensure they work effectively
• Working as part of a team to increase memberships

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you can match the skills, experience and qualities listed below, we’d love to hear from you:

• Greenkeeping experience
• Experience using ride on grass cutting machinery
• Able to make decisions and find solutions confidently without supervision
• Good verbal and written communication
• The confidence to speak up within the team and to other departments on matters affecting the golf course.

You will need a full driving licence too and it would be the icing on the cake if are good at general maintenance repairs.
