What you’ll be doing

Your role will be to assist in the management of the following Sports & Leisure facilities, which will include the training and support of the Leisure Reception team and the Recreation Team:

  • Golf
  • Pedalos
  • Gym
  • Bike Hire
  • Play Areas
  • Beaches
  • Reception Areas
  • Retail Stock
  • Fishing Pegs

You will be responsible for leading the recreation and leisure reception teams and working alongside other team leaders to motivate the team, assist with training, and drive standards high. Health and safety checks will be a regular part of your job ensuring that our facilities are safe, clean and ready for our guests to enjoy.

Working in partnership with the Sports & Leisure Manager, Leisure Admin Manager and other team leaders you will;

  • Actively market and promote the business, continually seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
  • To effectively supervise, train & motivate all team whilst on duty to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our facilities, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer care that promote and reflect the image of the park.
  • Maintain and develop the highest levels of service & safety within the recreation offering.
  • Responsible for the security of facilities, cleanliness and maintenance, stock replenishment and ensure normal operating procedures and emergency action plans are implemented as required.
  • Carry out any other duties specified by Sport and Leisure Management to ensure the effective operation of the Sports & Leisure offering, including emergency action plans and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of guests and staff. Ensure the correct behaviour and use by guests and staff of the facilities.

This is only a guide to the range of duties involved. The post holder will need to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to other duties that may be required from time to time.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need.

There’s plenty of training, but what we require you to already have:

  • Great interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
  • Minimum 2 years in a customer facing environment
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in working in a holiday resort environment
  • Experience of Health & Safety in a leisure environment.
