30 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm (1 hour for lunch)

The Senior Sports Therapist will be responsible for the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of Sports Academy students, while also taking a senior role in leading, planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating a high-quality service across the Bishop Burton College Sports Academies. The postholder will work within a proactive and friendly team environment alongside motivated sports medical and coaching staff.

Bishop Burton College, a land-based college situated on the outskirts of Beverley, has a highly successful Sports Academy programme supporting students who wish to compete at all levels—from participation through to performance—in Netball, Men’s and Women’s Football, and Rugby Union. Both our Football and Rugby Union Academies compete in national leagues.

The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation, be working towards a Master’s degree, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. They will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with students, colleagues, managers and parents.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding and GDPR protocols. They must be highly motivated, well-organised, able to problem-solve effectively, and capable of working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
