37 Hour Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

University Centre Bishop Burton is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Animal Science to join our growing Higher Education team.

As a Lecturer in Animal Science, you will deliver an engaging, applied curriculum that combines scientific theory with practical learning, preparing students for careers across the animal, veterinary, research, and conservation sectors.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
  • Create hands-on, practical learning experiences using specialist facilities and animal resources
  • Support and monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, and quality assurance
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to degree level in Animal Science or a related discipline
  • Ideally holds (or is willing to work towards) a teaching qualification
  • Experienced in industry, research, or teaching/training
  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about student success and applied learning
  • Digitally confident and able to enhance learning through technology
  • Innovative, resilient, and committed to high professional standards

A proactive and adaptable approach, alongside enthusiasm for working with students, will be key to success in this role.
