Working Pattern Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm, Friday 8.30-4.30pm.

Are you passionate about equine studies and dedicated to delivering an exceptional educational experience? Bishop Burton College is looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Equine Studies to join our Animal Science department.

As a Lecturer in Equine Studies, you'll contribute to innovative teaching, ensuring students gain a first-class education and industry-ready skills. You will design and deliver high quality teaching and learning, provide student guidance, assess progress, and manage educational visits. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in college marketing activities and help develop the equine curriculum to meet industry demands.

You require a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Equine Studies, preferably a BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship/BHSA1, minimum of one year’s teaching or training experience, ideally with a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one), passion for working with young people and the ability to address challenging behaviours and experience in fostering relationships with industry partners to enhance student learning.
