Bishop Burton College is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Dog Grooming to join our Animal Management team and support the delivery of high-quality Further Education programmes.

As a Lecturer in Dog Grooming, you will deliver engaging teaching across City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, combining theory with practical experience in a commercial salon environment. 

You will play a key role in developing confident, competent learners who are ready to progress into the dog grooming industry.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
  • Provide hands-on practical training within a commercial grooming salon
  • Support and monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes
  • Manage student behaviour and support wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 3 in Dog Grooming (or equivalent)
  • Ideally holds (or is willing to work towards) a teaching qualification 
  • Experienced within the dog grooming industry 
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about supporting learners to succeed
  • Organised, resilient, and able to manage a practical learning environment
  • Digitally confident and committed to professional standards
