Videographer
The Conservative Party is hiring a Videographer to join our fast-paced and ambitious Digital Team.
This is a unique opportunity to help capture defining political moments and create engaging content seen by millions of people across the country.
As a Videographer, you will be responsible for filming and editing a wide range of video and photographic content, including visits, events, speeches, ceremonies, and behind-the-scenes moments. Your work will be used across social media, printed literature, billboards and more.
Working closely with our team of video specialists, you will help produce dynamic and engaging content including interviews, vlogs, challenges, vox pops, campaign videos, and rapid-response digital content. The images and footage you capture of high-profile Conservative politicians will play a key role in shaping the Party’s digital presence and media output.
The successful candidate will thrive in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing environment, managing multiple filming and editing projects each day while maintaining exceptionally high creative standards. You will play an important role in ensuring the Conservative Party remains ahead of the curve in the way we produce and share digital content.
Your Responsibilities
· Chiefly responsible for the taking, editing and distribution of all photographs taken by the Digital Department
· Chiefly responsible for the CCHQ London Studio – it’s booking, maintenance and outfitting, covering both photography, video, and podcasts.
· Inputting into digital plans for events and visits to ensure that they are geared towards the taking of outstanding pictures and video for both internal photo and video as well as for photojournalists and broadcast cameras.
· Assisting in the production and editing of video content as and when needed
What we’re looking for
Essential Experience
· At least three years’ professional experience in photography and/or videography.
· An excellent portfolio demonstrating high-quality professional work across a variety of formats and platforms.
· Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
· While previous political experience is not essential, a strong understanding of current affairs and political awareness is required.
Desirable
· A professional background in photography.
· Advanced videography and editing experience.
· A full clean driving licence.

· An instinctive understanding of what makes a compelling image or piece of video content.
· Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks during filming, photography, and editing.
· Creative and innovative, with the ability to respond quickly to challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload independently.
