Social Media Coordinator
The Conservative Party is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our Digital team based in London. As a Social Media Coordinator, you'll be the voice of the Conservative Party across social media. Reporting into the Head of Digital Content and Deputy Director, you’ll write and publish hard hitting, narrative-setting content, work with a network of people including influencers, and push the boundaries. Working with people across the Party, you’ll be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of the digital revolution.
The successful candidate will be able to think on their feet, generate new and innovative ways to engage audiences and cut through the noise online.
Your responsibilities
· Write and publish engaging content across various channels on a daily basis.
· Help develop a grid of content that helps us tell our story
· Stay current on social media trends, design tools, applications, and technologies.
· Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and project briefs.
· Feed into and generate analytics & insights reports to help make our content as effective as possible
· Engage with external stakeholders such as digital agencies and influencers.
· Suggest and implement new ways to develop brand awareness and boost engagement
What we’re looking for
Essential
· Proficiency in relevant social media channels (with examples) such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
· Excellent copywriting skills.
· Excellent levels of organisation and planning
· Being up to date with trending topics discussed online and the ability to apply strong political acumen to develop responses
· Proven ability to edit video and create graphics using Adobe software
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Ability to pay attention to detail while being creative.
· Ability to work with confidential matters discreetly and responsibly.
Desirable
· Experience working within one of the following industries: politics, sports media or entertainment
· A background in digital communications
· Media editing skills
