PROJECT TECHNICIAN | £33,200 per annum

Hybrid role with both office-based and home-working

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Development team as Project Technician.

Reporting to the Senior Project & Programme Manager, this role will be key in supporting with delivering a variety of projects by generating AutoCad drawings, project programmes, risk registers, tender documentation and budget trackers.

The role will support the Development Projects Team who are responsible for the design and delivery of an allocated portfolio of capital projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget, within the relevant timescales and according to operational requirements.

The role is the custodian of standards, record keeping (including drawings etc) and best practices. Excellent organisational skills are therefore required.

The successful candidate will be qualified to HNC level in Project Management, Building Construction, Surveying or Architecture and will have good knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards.

Due to the nature of this role, occasional business travel will be required and therefore a full driving licence is essential.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and home-working.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Qualified to HNC level in Project Management, Building Construction, Surveying or Architecture
  • Good knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards
  • Proficient at AutoCad in the preparation of drawings
  • IOSH qualified
  • Post qualification work experience is required for this role
  • Eager to learn and develop
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

Desirable requirements:

  • Conversant with CDM regulations
  • Management of projects between £5–250k
  • Experience of managing projects in a leisure, hospitality or retail sector
