M&E ASSET MANAGER

Up to £64,700 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus 18% bonus scheme and company car

Hybrid role with office-based, village-based and home working.  Travel to our villages based in the UK and Ireland will be required, along with some overnight stays. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Development team as M&E Asset Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Technical Services & Assets, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and successful delivery of a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical projects, with a focus on sustainability. From energy efficiency and water-saving initiatives to innovative renewable energy solutions such as heat pumps, you will lead projects that support our sustainability targets.

You'll also manage a wider array of infrastructure and general M&E projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all projects are prioritised, planned, and delivered on time, within budget, and in line with operational requirements.

Due to the nature of the business, there is a high level of stakeholder engagement required across our villages, along with strong and timely communication.  The ability to build a strong rapport along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are therefore required.

As part of our long-term Net Zero strategy, this role will focus on electrification, with a particular emphasis on electrical engineering expertise across LV (Low Voltage) and HV (High Voltage) systems therefore, expertise within this is necessary.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving license, be qualified to HNC level in project management or mechanical & electrical engineering.  Good knowledge of current electrical regulations is also required, along with experience of managing projects between £5k and £1m.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based, village-based and home working.  Travel to our villages based in the UK and Ireland will be required, along with some overnight stays. 

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Qualified to HNC level in Project Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Must have good knowledge of current Electrical regulations
  • Must be conversant with CDM regulations.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Significant post qualification experience
  • Management of projects between £5k – 1m.
  • Eager to learn and develop.
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team.

Desirable requirements:

  • IOSH qualified.
  • Relevant professional qualification, ie. MAPM, CIOB, MRICS or similar
  • Experience of managing projects in a leisure, hospitality or retail sectors.
