Safety and Compliance Coordinator - Technical Services

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR - TECHNICAL SERVICES | £12.36 per hour.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Technical Services team as a Safety and Compliance Coordinator. Reporting to the Technical Services Line Manager and working in liaison with the Health and Safety Technician you will be required to coordinate compliance activities within the Division and monitor the compliance of individual departments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Completing risk assessments and safety audits throughout the Division
  • Coordinating the Legal training events during the 2-yearly review period for the four Legal Subjects for the Division’s Departments, ensuring 100% completion
  • Undertaking Legal subject monthly Health & Safety audits within all Tech Services departments and liaising with departments Manager’s on the outcomes
  • Coordinating annual refresher training activities in liaison with the department Manager’s and Legal Trainers
  • Liaising with departments Manager’s to monitor the compliance of new starters Legal Departmental Training, and providing support where required with on-line training
  • Auditing departmental training files including the monitoring of employees transferring between departments, to ensure they are policy compliant

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 64 hours per 4-week period. Which will be spread over 3 days a week, The shifts will fall between 9am-2.30pm. We can be flexible with days and you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Substantial knowledge of divisional operations
  • Knowledge of legal compliance and training requirements
  • Effective use of PC based learning systems
  • The ability to prioritise and organise workload with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Sociably confident with the ability to inspire confidence and establish credibility

Desirable requirements:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to complete
  • Knowledge of wider village operations
