Location: Covent Garden, London

Salary: £37.96 per hour, inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time

About the role

We are looking to appoint several highly creative and passionate Graphic and Illustration Tutors for the 2D studies programme area within the School of Visuals Arts. We have various short courses on offer across the areas of Graphic Design, Illustration, Graphic Novels and Childrens Book Illustration. Within each area, we also offer specialist workshop, for example Botanical illustration, digital illustration, cartoon workshops, magazine design, colour communication, logo and branding Illustration etc.

We are looking for practising illustrators and designers who can teach any of the above subjects in both traditional and contemporary contexts.

• BA Hons / MA or similar equivalent qualification in a graphic design, illustration, visual communication subject.
• An active art and design practice or alternative relevant, professional experience.
• Up to date knowledge of current and contemporary design practices.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to demonstrate this through both practical and theoretical contexts (historical and contemporary)
• Experience in working in adult education, FE or HE in academic delivery or development.
