Are you a dynamic and passionate Counselling Tutor? Then join us to teach on our Introduction to L1 Counselling, L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling: Integrative and L3 Certificate in Counselling Skills courses, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning.

You will be a key contributor to our thriving Psychology and department, where we have long-standing experience in offering a wide range of courses from introductory to professional levels of training and play an important role in meeting the learning needs of students and fulfilling the syllabus and accreditation requirements.

To be considered, please submit your CV and a covering letter and outlining which course(s) you would like to be considered for as outlined below, detailing your skills and experience. You will particularly attract our interest if this covers:

  • Have a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
  • Have a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent (e.g., stage 3 teaching qualification or PGCE), preferably for teaching adults plus commitment to complete further CPD or teacher training qualifications if required.
  • Have significant post qualified experience as a practicing counsellor.
  • Have experience of delivering and facilitating workshops in disciplines such as counselling and personal development.
  • Have BACP membership and abide by the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Or any other relevant professional awarding body.

Courses will take place as per below. Hours of work will be discussed in more detail at interview.

  • L1 Introduction to Counselling course. Term time only: Monday, 10:00 – 13:00 / Monday 18:00 – 21:00.
  • SEG L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling: Integrative. Term time only: Monday 18:00 – 21:00 and Wednesday 18:00 – 20:00. Exact teaching time will be dependent on whether teaching is for a single unit or full course. 
  • SEG Awards L3 Certificate in Counselling Skills. Term time only: Wednesday 12:00 – 15:00 and Thursday 17:30 – 20:30. Exact teaching time will be dependent on whether teaching is for a single unit or full course.
