What’s in the role and what are we looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Assistant Buyer to join our Ladieswear Buying team. This is an entry level role suited to someone who is looking to progress their career within the world of buying.

As a Trainee Assistant Buyer, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment across home shopping and retail so it’s important that you have an adaptable and flexible approach to work whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:

  • To liaise with suppliers as well as Buying, Merchandising, Quality Control and Creative teams
  • Involvement in critical path meetings with the Ladieswear team, including presenting to the Buyer.
  • Completing approvals and managing photo samples.
  • To ensure all analysis is completed accurately and the critical path is maintained in Excel.
  • All day to day administration required to assist the Buyer and ensure the efficient buying of product.
  • Highly organised and keep on top of key diary dates coming up, to ensure deadlines are met.

What you need to excel in this role?

  • Degree in fashion/ buying preferable but not necessary
  • Good time management skills
  • Adaptable and flexible approach
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience of using Microsoft office preferable
