An exciting opportunity has arisen to for a Personal Tutor to join our Academic Support team at the Joseph Wright Centre. For this role at Derby College as we are looking to recruit experts to deliver valuable tutorial sessions to our students and work alongside our teaching staff. If you’d like to come and take a look at where you might be working, reach out to us and we will arrange for you to have a tour of our fantastic campus.

 

The Opportunity

The role will include delivery of the contextualised tutorial programme as well as conducting one to ones with students. You will be delivering topics such as Prevent, positive relationships, progression sessions and study skills. You will also be promoting opportunities to students such as wider tutorial events, seminars, guest speakers and industry events.

 

About you

You will be an energetic person with a desire to deliver to, and work with, a range of students and levels from level 1 to 3. You will have knowledge of the range of tutoring and student tracking methods needed to ensure stimulating learning experiences. You will also have experience working in an FE environment, and delivering pastoral advice and guidance services to young people.
